The Number One Way To Leverage Your Time To Make More Money

A conversation that keeps popping up in my world right now is how to leverage your time to make more money.

I’ve been speaking with women in and around the launch of the Spiritual Business Mistressmind who are at capacity right now, not just with clients but with everything in their lives and businesses – they are literally juggling ALL the balls.

Maybe this is you too?

And don’t get me wrong, I know the feeling well. As a business owner, holding space for a mastermind and a group program at the same time, AND being a full time mama of 2 under 5 – there are many days where I feel that stretch.

So trust me, I get it.

BUT if your goal is to grow your business and scale to that next level of income and impact BUT you don’t have any time right now to work ON your business and invest in your growth – then you’ve got a problem.

Are you really gonna make the excuses or are you gonna prioritise the business that you truly want?

I hate to say it but nothing changes if nothing changes. You can’t expect a different result without changing what you’re doing.

If you’re at capacity right now with all of the things you’re doing IN your business – what are you doing to change that?

Because you need to make time to work ON your business – not just IN it, and start thinking about how you can really leverage your time to make more money without feeling so goddamn stretched all the time.

So that’s exactly what we’re talking about in today’s episode of the Feminine Fire Podcast – the number one way to leverage your time to make more money.

Where your focus goes, energy flows.

So if you are NOT making the time to grow your business or focus on what you need to be focusing on to make it happen, then it won’t grow. It’s as simple as that.

I’m a big believer that actions speak louder than words – it’s not enough to just say you want to grow your business, your words need to be backed up by your actions. If you really want this, you gotta show the universe you’re serious. Make the time for it. Focus on it. Act congruently to your vision. This is what creates the momentum and the magic.

Now I know that might be easier said than done when you’re spending all your time working IN your business right now.

So the question you’re asking is HOW?

What I want to share with you today is that the answer to creating more time in your business is to SCALE.

Scaling not only allows you to make more money and serve more people – it actually gives you back your time.

Let me explain…

Right now you might be spending your time repeating the same things again and again and again. You might constantly be in 1:1 sessions with clients, supporting multiple clients through very similar things, teaching the same process over and over, regurgitating the same information again and again.

You can leverage your time by doing these things ONCE instead. For example, you might teach your process through an online course or put together a group program or mastermind that takes people through the same transformation that you provide your 1:1 clients right now.

You’re then not spending your time repeating the same things over and over, and you can use that time in other ways – to grow other areas of your business, to complete that creative project that’s been on your heart for a while that you haven’t had time for or to even take time away from the business so you’re no longer working ALL the time.

Now what’s important to note here is that there’s often an initial trade off to be made.

A little bit of “pain” in the short term for the long term gain of more time, more money, more impact.

What I often see in this initial period, when you’re scaling and building, is business owners not sticking it out because initially there is a bigger time investment to creating the assets and the content needed for offers like online courses or programs. It can often feel a little sticky initially to be spending your time building this out when it feels easier to just do it the way you’ve always done it, 1:1 with clients.

But it is worth the time investment. Even though right now you might already be feeling stretched for time. That approach is not going to help you grow your business in the way that you want to. That short-sightedness is not going to serve you.

We’ve gotta approach this with a long term vision – you’re here for the long haul, do you wanna keep doing it the way you’ve been doing it? Stretched and at capacity with no time for anything else. Or do you wanna make the trade off in the short term, invest more time upfront right now, knowing that you’ll get that time back, and then some, in the long term?

I remember when I was in my first big scaling phase…

It was the year after Noah was born. So his first year of life, my first year as a mama – I created 4 new programs that year, launched something like 7 times, hired my first ever team member and had my biggest year in business to date. It was WILD. And there were trade offs. I put in the time – I worked during nap times, I worked some evenings, I worked on weekends when I needed to. I made it happen.

And it was all worth it because 2 of those 4 programs I created and launched that year for the first time became the foundation of my business model today 4 years later. The business model that supported me through maternity leave last year and that continues to create consistent cash for me in the business while now working around 10 hours a week with a second baby on my hip.

This is what making those trade offs in the short term looks like in the long term. I put in that time initially and I’m now reaping those rewards in the long term.

So if scaling is feeling a little sticky for you right now – know that you’re not doing anything wrong.

This is the reality of making those trade offs in the short term. Keep your eye on the long term prize. It might not be super comfy right now, but it’s going to be THE thing that creates more time, more money and more impact in your business down the track.

Now if you are ready to go all in and scale your business – I’d love to support you to do that!

Having someone walk alongside you as you navigate the stickiness that is scaling is so freakin’ valuable, and please know that I speak from experience here. That year when I first scaled my business – it was also the first time I had invested in long term business coaching and I have no doubt that it was one of the big catalysts for my growth.

So if you’re serious about scaling – I am now enrolling into the October 2023 round of the Spiritual Business Mistressmind.
