What a magical weekend! We had 10 beautiful like-hearted women join our Sacred Goddess Retreat on the NSW South Coast in November. We stayed at the most gorgeous farmhouse surrounded by beautiful gardens and a citrus orchard.
Tilba is located on the foothills of Gulaga, a sacred site for the local Yuin people. Gulaga symbolises the mother and holds particular significance for Aboriginal women. It was truly an honour and blessing to come together as women for this sacred goddess retreat, surrounded by the nurturing energy of Gulaga, the mother.
Each morning we woke up with guided meditation, stepping straight into sacred space and awakening our senses to be present and mindful for the rest of the day. In the evenings we harnessed the energy of the moon and celebrated the moon goddess through sacred ritual.
On Friday night, we opened the retreat with a letting go moon ceremony to release what was no longer serving us and making space for bright new beginnings. On Saturday night, we welcomed the New Moon with a moon ritual for manifestation. Under the dark moon and the starry night sky, we called in the magic of the New Moon to help manifest our dreams into reality.
In our goddess workshop sessions, we explored the energy of Gaia and Gulaga, connecting in to Mother Earth through the elements and feeling into our bodies for grounding and clarity. We also discussed the moon phases and how we can work with the moon to break free of the struggle and find our flow.
Sharing delicious food is always an important part of our Goddess Gatherings. At the retreat, we were nourished with delicious, vegetarian meals throughout the weekend. A lot of the produce was sourced locally – cheese from Tilba Real Dairy, bread and pastries from Les Gourmandises in Moruya, fresh produce from Southlands Fruit & Veg in Moruya, chocolates from Tilba Chocolates.
Being in Tilba, we couldn’t leave without spending some free time in town. We treated the girls to lunch at Neck of the Woods Cafe and then had some time to shop, wander and sample some of the local produce.
After a beautiful Sunday morning brunch, it was time to say goodbye to our new soul sisters, the gorgeous farmhouse that had started to feel like home and the nurturing energy of Gulaga and Tilba Tilba.
It is such a blessing to do this work alongside my mum, and all round #girlboss, Suzy Cherub. I know she feels the same – to bring like-minded women together to dive deep, to grow and learn, and uncover new parts of ourselves – it is an honour. I left the weekend feeling inspired, with a full heart, feeling grateful right down to my bones.
Thank you to all the women who joined our goddess circle for this magical weekend. You’ve got this, and we’ve got you.
